John Perkins: The Economic Hitman on Bitcoin Standard Podcast

This came up in my podcast feed and I thought... this should be good. It is. Perkins worked for years as an economist and watched as the US and global corporate interests used the World Bank to trap developing countries. He has a different world view from myself and Saifedean but his insight and experience is very eye opening. He has some very interesting things to say about how China has learned from the US approach to empire building and how these countries should respond to the strangle hold they are under with their debt.
Saifedean does a good job pushing back in a respectful way. Near the end of the podcast he makes his pitch for how nation states can turn things around by holding bitcoin instead of of fiat dollars. Perkins is not sold on this but says he hopes that is true. It is interesting to see someone from the left like Perkins open to the hard money pitch of bitcoiners. He is apparently speaking at an upcoming bitcoin event along with Saifedean.
If you haven't read Confessions of an Economic Hitman you should. But this episode is interesting and worth a listen.
