There is no fix without massive pain. But the fiat money printer is the main cause of the growing disparity between the CEOs and the workers. The money printer is what has financialized the economy, monetized the stock market and led to all kinds of shenanigans with stock buybacks and over inflated stock prices. This system is not capitalism. The Federal Reserve has a government enforced monopoly on currency counterfeiting, and money is half of every transaction in the economy. Thus, our economy cannot be more than 50% capitalist at best, even if every other aspect of it was perfectly free market, which it’s not. Having a central bank with a monopoly on currency counterfeiting isn’t capitalism at all, they’ve just tricked people into believing that America is some kind of bastion of free market capitalism and freedom.
