there are quite a lot of events. you wouldnt believe this if you use applications that fail to display 99 % of them on timeline. although im not sure whether its that the browser applications dont use that many relays or if its another issue. i dont think you can setup 400 relays to any browser app currently. prove me wrong.
im querying only events in the past 24 hours from 400 relays. i got 108750 events, filtering out activitypub events we still have 61603 events. next thing would be to filter out all spam other and uninteresting content.
i didnt time it, but downloading all events from past 24 hours took maybe 10-15 minutes. total size of these events is 86 MB. i guess some relays that have a lot of events dont have that much bandwidth.

this data may still lack lot of events as i noticed i used only 400 relays out of more than 800 publicly listed relays.
