In particular, Crocodilus uses malicious Facebook ads masquerading as legitimate banking and e-commerce applications, promising users bonus rewards and promotional offers to attract downloads.
The campaigns specifically target users over 35, strategically focusing on demographics with higher disposable incomes and a greater likelihood of engaging with financial services.
