During the reign of Emperor Maximian, Saint Lup served as a soldier. He was a fearless man who had a deep love for Christ. When ordered to persecute Christians, he refused, boldly proclaiming his faith. For this defiance, he was tortured mercilessly, but he never renounced his belief. Ultimately, he was beheaded for his unwavering devotion. His faith was stronger than the fear of death, an example of how to stay true to God. Pray to St. Lup for strength in the face of adversity, that we may also stand firm in our beliefs.
