I wanted to let you know that I settled on the following perennials for my garden. All do well in with sun, don't need lots of water and attract butterflies and pollinators:
Bee Balm
Yarrow
Cone flowers
Black-eyed Susan
Butterfly Milkweed
Evening primrose
The first 3 are supposed to be deer resistant.
I also ordered some lemon thyme for color. It doesn't flower, but has pretty yellow + green leaves.
