As a software engineer I am of 2 minds. The coding LLMs have gotten so good, I can see no need for entry level talent, however, larger corporations will still need some engineering staff to manage the projects.
I use AI to help me be more efficient, and the quality is good and increasing almost weekly.
I’m trying to understand how this plays out. Does one engineer do the work of 3 or 100 previous engineers?
Do all of the Indian tech workers take over completely? Or do they all get fired because the local times zone based engineers now do the work of entire teams previously?
