Derek Lowe has probably been my favorite blogger for a hard to believe amount of time. He's a chemist and has always had an appropriately skeptical tone about everything (virtuall all drug candidates don't work, afterall). He's generally displayed contempt for anti-science ideas, and I've never seen any politically partisan writing.
In a recent post he describes the relevant EO as "going after transgender rights". I told him that isn't the case:

He knew enough to ask which lesbians outside of WoLF support the EO (I think most people wouldn't admit to knowing they heard of WoLF)? I told him that WoLF was very credible and that there are many (though they would undoubtedly support WoLF) and pointed hm to a Goldis video on the EOs. No response since.
The trans blight is everywhere, I can't believe it got to Derek. It's so sad.
