Can’t stop crying
I got the call on Sunday afternoon I was terminated from my forest service position. I was the only person in my position at my duty station. I cleaned out my office yesterday and said my goodbyes and all of the fire crews were livid or crying or both (I worked hand in hand with them). I wasn’t even gone for 6 hours when I got a call asking for help on something because nobody knows how to do what I did. I gave my all to those crews and I feel like I lost a part of my soul when I said goodbye to them. To all of those still working and pushing through, please be there for each other as much as possible. I can’t look after my crews the way I want to anymore and I just want the support system to continue because they need it more than ever. ♥️ Edit: I was admin, to clarify. Terminated due to “poor work performance” as a probationary employee despite having glowing appraisals. Was there for almost 2 years.
