Russia has started deploying a new type of kamikaze drone capable of selecting and striking targets without any human operator input.
These drones can travel up to 100 km from the front line, using onboard cameras and computer vision to operate entirely without GPS. They autonomously determine when and where to strike.
Critically, they lack the ability to distinguish between a piece of military equipment and a civilian bus. Their gasoline-powered engines further extend their operational range.
In essence, this is a fully autonomous weapon—one that “sees” and kills on its own.
