All this opining that the US of the 90s, 80s, 70s or 60s was anything more than a bullying colonial power that played power games to plant bases across the earth and develop the weapons to destroy the earth several times over is making me sick.
Liberals, i will say this once clearly. The US, since conception, has been a bullying colonial state that was built on murder and brutal exploitation. You had 1 good time in 1942 when you decided (after being bombed by japan) to stand up to fascism, an ideology you courted openly and famously from the time of Mussolinis rise to power. Shut the fuck up, you have never been a force for good.
