Read broadly and track the prediction accuracy of the intelligent people you read. They can provide a preliminary screen of who to take a closer look at. This was most difficult during covid as I mostly read economists, historians and finance professionals. But pretty quickly found communities that both 1) had reasonable credentials, 2) were able to make predictions on first principles, 3) would change their mind based on evidence, & 4) weren’t worried about public opinion.
