Its not a matter of allowing it. My issue is forcing companies to pay for it. That steals from the company and other employees. Money that goes to someone doing nothing is money that cannot be used for capital investments, raises, bonuses, etc. And the person's job needs to be covered during the absense so either the company pays two people for one job, or puts the burden on other employees. The ONLY person that benefits in any way is the person getting paid to stay home, and all others receive extra burden. This, like all things, is a bandaid covering for deeper issues that are all causes by the same government that is forcing people to subsidize others' lives. Governments broke money, which is part of why mothers cannot stay home, and as usual, force (at gun point) the private sector to suffer.
