the bitcoin twitter nostalgia club stuff is really annoying and totally misses the point and purpose of an open social network communication protocol
if that's all we are doing with nostr just go back to X, there's nothing new in terms of technology or architecture in simply replicating what already exists, and a lot of the bitcoiner/grantee devs are very tunnel vision about this, they aren't actually thinking about how they are missing out on building something that can truly become a whole circular economy out of the control of the gigacorps and banksters
it's more even than social network, it's a hybrid client/server, publish/subscribe, content delivery network and data model that can be used to deliver any kind of services or content at all
the lack of satisfactory chat functionality is a really big issue for me because my focus is on enabling the creation of fully sovereign business communications and data management systems
how gitcitadel aligns with my purposes is that they are mainly focusing on source code and documentation use case, which are both critical elements of a business deployment scenario... plus the Stella likes the fact that having me in the group means she can get relay side stuff set up to best fit the gitcitadel use cases, a lot of the recent features and bug fixes in #realy have been precisely about making it suitable for gitcitadel
