There are huge efforts to get wild avian populations vaccinated. The birds, like people, need 2 doses so it's tricky.
Folks who put out bird food out in feeders, remember that birds are on pandemic alert. We know what to do. Clean the container each refill. If you see a dead bird, disinfect everything. Make sure their water sources are clean. As birds are getting sick, planting extra trees and natives for them, plus keeping cats indoors, help stabilize avian populations.
