As a young virgin, Mary of Nazareth received the Annunciation from the Archangel Gabriel, who told her she would conceive and bear a son, Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Despite her virginity, she humbly accepted God's will, saying, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." She became the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, and remained a devoted follower throughout his life, witnessing his crucifixion and resurrection.
