Many thanks for the kind words and trust, utxo! I'm very excited to officially be part of the project and do my small part for Nostr.
Haven is an awesome experiment in decentralisation, allowing users to own and host their notes and media independently. I really believe in this project and what it represents, and regardless of my status as a maintainer, I’ll remain first and foremost an enthusiastic user and a huge fan of Haven.
To leave a personal note to celebrate this milestone, I’d like to say that it has been an amazing journey as a contributor so far. I've taught myself some Go, and by interacting with more experienced (and infinitely patient) Nostr devs while implementing small fixes and features on both Haven and its foundational libraries (For those who don’t know, Haven is an iceberg. Beneath the surface, you’ll find, well, mostly layers and layers of code written by nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhhq7tjv9kkjepwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxmhwden5te0wfjkccte9emk2um5v4exucn5vvhxxmmd9uq3xamnwvaz7tmhda6zuat50phjummwv5hsx7c9z9 🤣), I’ve been able to learn a lot about Nostr and the ecosystem surrounding it. I'm happy to learn how to throw a stone or two at the lake while you folks are moving mountains.
I'm looking forward to the future of Haven, and beyond keeping it running, I have several ideas around setting up official reproducible builds and making Haven more accessible, easier to install, configure, and operate for end-users (including those on Windows and macOS).
On that same front, I'll also do my best to keep my “all batteries included” containerised distribution of Haven going and support other downstream distributions, like nostr:nprofile1qqsq4hm8gawvch9y2m7nqghydaw4ym4s4a3gf0u9f9xqm4uy0ul9qvcpremhxue69uhkstnrdajxjmn8v9ex2mnp9e6x7up0da6hgcn00qq3vamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwfjkccte9eshqup0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcht4zgq Docker build, so that end users can enjoy the freedom of choice and the convenience of using Haven however they prefer (without messing up Haven’s main repo in the process 🤣).
