If you believe it you lose your ability to have original thought with reasoning credence and that ends up denouncing your creative spirit which is imbued with creative reasoning ability by the "creator." Then you must ask yourself, do you even have knowledge of good and evil? If you do not you can discard the gospels along with any moral argument. Spurgeons quote is false if he believes it to be true.
