The rise of Christian Zionism in evangelical circles came largely through 19th–20th century dispensationalism (Darby), not historic Protestant teaching. God’s promises are fulfilled in Christ and extended to all believers, Jew and Gentile alike (Gal. 3:28–29). There’s no separate redemptive plan for ethnic Israel for those interested in knowing what the Bible actually teaches in the new covenant.
The issue isn’t any group “hijacking” Christianity….it’s that many Christians have abandoned Scripture, traded sound doctrine for sentiment, and forgotten their call to be wise and discerning. The blame lies not with outsiders, but with a church that has lost its grounding.
Let’s return to the Word, fix our eyes on Christ, and resist both false teaching and fear-based scapegoating. “We wrestle not against flesh and blood…” (Eph. 6:12).
