Claudius, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostratus were skilled sculptors, favored by Emperor Diocletian. When asked to craft a statue of Aesculapius, they refused, confessing their Christian faith. Before their execution, they brought five more to Christ: Symphorian, Victorinus, Claudius's wife Hilaria, and their sons Jason and Maurus. All nine were martyred near Rome, becoming testaments to unwavering faith in the face of imperial command.
