It's time to break up America. New England and the West Coast are ideologically different countries than the Midwest and South. Let people vote with their feet. Let these regions swing as far right or far left as their population wants. The political structural divide was baked in at the writing of the Constitution, and George Washington saw it coming at the end of his presidency when he warned against the formation of political parties.
We will never be able to unify America ideologically. There is simply too much division regarding how these regions view both the past and future.
Failure to separate will lead to a increasingly violent swing from right to left and back again until we collapse completely.
