In the village of Brazi, Romania, Theodosie, a humble hermit, lived a life of prayer and fasting. When Roman Catholic soldiers sought to force the Orthodox villagers to convert, Theodosie emerged from his hermitage, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith. He was arrested and tortured, refusing to renounce Orthodoxy. He was eventually beheaded in 1685, becoming a martyr for his unwavering devotion.
