I have to say I admire the Chinese copycat companies somehow.
Looking at the world to see what works and is in demand, then producing tons of the clones, marketing it and selling it all over the world for a fraction of a price requires tremendous entrepreneurial skill.
If they don't believe in intellectual property (which is smart, you can't own an idea), it's actually good for them to outsource R&D and market testing and go straight to production and scaling. Especially if the outsourcing is for free.
They have found a great business model that works.
