We did what we could to attack the tumor. But it's a delayed effect; it was irradiated but it still takes about 2 months for it to start shrinking. Her chances look good of making it that far. Hopefully that buys her 18-24 months. And then at some point the tumor starts growing again and the clock starts running out for her.
So it's great to have her basically back to normal right now, but we just have to remember to appreciate this phase, knowing that we have no guarantees about how long it might last.
