A shocking interview has given Germany global attention and not the good kind.
The country has begun arresting its citizens for speech crimes, especially online.

Vice President JD Vance responds to Germanys 60 Minutes interview on X saying:
“Insulting someone is not a crime, and criminalizing speech is going to put real strain on European-US relationships.
This is Orwellian, and everyone in Europe and the US must reject this lunacy.”
Ted Cruz also chimed in on X, saying “This is not the first time the Germans have threatened to arrest you if you say something the government doesn’t like.” and “ So, if someone called these guys “goose-stepping Nazis”…
…for gleefully enforcing totalitarian speech codes
…that would be deemed a crime in Germany?”

One thing is for certain, America is damn lucky it saved its free speech and elected Donald J Trump, because we were a hairs breath away from living under a tyranny much like Germany is experiencing now.
