We weren't aware until reading this story that there had been a reboot in the works that Warner Bros. pulled out of — and Dr. Robby could very easily be the grownup version of Dr. John Carter. But "ER" certainly wasn't the first drama set in an emergency room, and it doesn't have the "each episode is a shift" conceit. Either way, "The Pitt" is a truly excellent (though sometimes difficult) watch.
