The study analyzed adverse events from the WHO’s VigiBase, and found renal safety signals, mentioning:
Glomerulonephritis (GN): Inflammation of the glomeruli—the kidney’s tiny filters—a condition that can cause swelling and kidney failure
GROK adds that "Vasculitis affecting the kidneys can lead to several complications:
- Glomerulonephritis: This is a common manifestation where the inflammation specifically targets the glomeruli, leading to reduced kidney function, proteinuria (protein in the urine), and hematuria (blood in the urine)."
