Why is someone else’s life more valuable than my own? Who decides what the right thing to do is, anyway? I think we’ve been sold a load of hooey mostly due to the promise of an eternal reward in heaven or some other happy horseshit. Why do we still think that’s noble?
I’m not saying don’t fight. You can fight for yourself and others. I’m just not willing to be canon fodder to protect the herd.
