I've started conducting business with small businesses and contractors, almost exclusively now. Smaller the better.
Having run my own little business for a few months now, I understand that a lot of times ONE sale, ONE transaction can be the difference between a good or bad week for these places. And you can often get the same (or better) service/product as you can from a multi-national corporation.
I've started almost going out of my way to seek out the little guy lately.
