Egyptian sources reported that a Israeli security delegation visited Cairo yesterday (Wednesday) and met with senior officials from the Egyptian General Intelligence. The sources added that the discussions between the two sides focused on 'Egypt's approach to managing the Gaza Strip in the next stage, reactivating humanitarian aid to the Strip, advancing the second phase of the agreement, and mechanisms for releasing captives.' According to the sources, the Israeli delegation was technical and arrived after receiving official permission from the political echelon. A Palestinian source familiar with the negotiations between Hamas and the US told Sky News Arabic that the US offered Hamas to release 10 live captives in exchange for extending the ceasefire for another 60 days, opening the crossings to the Strip, reactivating humanitarian aid, and in return for starting negotiations on the second phase and the issue of Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor. The source added that Hamas is still considering the offer.
