(André René Roussimoff), born 79 years ago on May 19, 1946.

He was a French professional wrestler and actor. Dubbed "the Eighth Wonder of the World", Roussimoff was known for his great size, which was a result of gigantism caused by excess human growth hormone.

As an actor, he is best known for appearing as Fezzik, the giant in the 1987 film The Princess Bride. He died of congestive heart failure on January 28, 1993, aged 47.
