Also the biggest reason behind immigration influx and open borders is not so much the wars and campaigns. It's the simple fact that you lack workers and that your population itself is not fucking enough to keep up population growth.
As your countries scale up in economic value, the lower class moves up and the middle class moves up. You may not think this is true, but consider how many of you 'peers' would do a job at a mcdonalds or deliveroo?
So there is this gap that gets created where you lack population to actually fill in jobs like farm hands and other cheap labour.
That's the biggest reason for this open border policy: cheap labour because the cost of labour of a native European or American is actually very high in comparison to an undocumented worker with no rights.
