Depends what you're looking for. With the kid I rather play things she can enjoy but doesn't necessarily play with. Great examples of these would be Chicory, Gris, and Neva. But to play with your wife, "it takes two" would be pretty solid. A recent release, Coridden, is a somewhat enjoyable coop if you're into levelling and beast transforming 😆 bread and fred is a fun but potentially frustrating platforming coop game.
Unfortunately I can't recall the best coop games I played by name right now.
