Great news for Lubaina Himid (and Preston, her home town & UCLAN, her employer). The Turner Prize winning artist will represent the UK at the 2026 Venice Biennale.
Not only is this another testament to th importance of Himid's work it is also am acknowledgement of the continued influence (and importance) of the Black Arts Movement of the 1980s.
