Linux is a great OS and it really works for people who don't mind doing a little extra work to keep their OSes in ship-shape. On the other hand, the bulk of the people I work with would not be able to handle the lack of community support a non-Windows (or Mac) OS would give them. I work with at least one Linux user in over her head b/c of something like this and it's tough
