"O'Keefe Drops EPSTEIN STORY." I'm glad for the story coming out. I salute O'Keefe. But the new meaning that has recently been given to the verb "drops" is unfortunate. The new meaning of "drops" is that "he just published the story." The better-known and long-established meaning is that "he withdrew the story and no longer stands behind it." In my opinion, this new (possibly ebonics) meaning of "drops" should be dropped.
