The next attack on bitcoin is here which has been dubbed as the “block space wars”
Unlimited OP_RETURN limits makes it easier to inflate transactions. Inflated transactions mean less space in the blocks. Less space in the blocks means higher fees. Higher fees means less people are able to transact.
This could very well be the kiss of death. All that will remain is a store of value and NGU tech. P2P money will fade out into the sunset. Miners will spam to increase fee revenue.
Developers pushing for this have a hidden agenda. Why else would they try to force something facing so much resistance?
