If nothing is changed in the fee structure then won’t all the incentives still be towards using taproot witness data? Also there’s a network effect of existing infrastructure built around that approach. Is the idea that over time the technological simplicity of using opreturn vs taproot would win out despite the economic disincentive? One argument on the other side is that people will do whatever they are permitted to do. So the existing infrastructure will continue to use taproot while less sophisticated spammers use opreturn. So you end up with both which seems less ideal
