It defaults to scanning in compressed JPEG form, but doesn’t really make that abundantly clear to you. Unless you look at the files it creates in its special folder, you may falsely be under the impression you’re scanning uncompressed. LOL, no.
Once you clear that matter up, you’ll discover it scans to PNG files.
Also, the LZW/CCIT “compression” option in the TIFF configuration box, only sets the compression for the PNG files that it scans to, not the exported TIFFs.
