The best way to enjoy fresh fruit (in my opinion) is to serve it chilled. I like to cut it up and pop it in the fridge so it’s ready to snack on anytime.
Some fruits—like pears, apples, and mangoes—turn brown super fast after being cut. To keep them looking fresh, I soak the slices in a vinegar and salt solution for about 5 minutes, then rinse and let them dry.
This pear was cut in the morning and had been in and out of the fridge all day yesterday… and it still looks very appetizing!
