You wanna cast people from all different ethnic backgrounds go for it. Create roles for them, make them good, and we will accept them happily. I'm not at all racists on these type of things.
If you are going to recast great actors for their masterpiece roles. Then please at least make sure they have similar ethnic backgrounds out of respect for the original actors. We already have to suffer through the bullshit of you rehashing out beloved franchise and hope it isn't horse shit.
It would be like watching a live action adaptation of the movie Pocahontas. Where Pocahontas is cast by an actual Indian instead of an indigenous woman from America. It is disrespectful of the original works of art and the people they portray.
