She takes medication, but somewhat intermittently. And, the medicine has caused a lot of weight gain. It is hard to know how aggressively to treat illnesses we understand poorly. We know parents who have been more aggressive with treatment, including hospitalizing their children dozens of times. But they seem to be doing no better than our daughter. There are no easy answers.
