See, now you’re just lying.
There was no 180 degree change. Most Core devs have wanted to phase out the filters for years now, because they serve no purpose, and have negative consequences like worsening mining centralization.
The only reason it hasn’t already happened is because of bunch of people that have no involvement in Core development (like you) raise a bunch of drama.
I call you guys the new bcashes because you’re doing exactly what they would do:
1. Accuse Core devs of being compromised
2. Complain about alleged “censorship”
3. Push an alternative implementation
4. Claim that you’re defending bitcoin’s original purpose/design
5. Act obnoxious and not listen to any of the tradeoffs of what you’re supporting
