Martyrs Montanus and Maxima, during Emperor Diocletian's reign, were urged to renounce their faith. Montanus, a priest, refused, declaring Christ as the true God. Maxima, inspired by his courage, also confessed her belief. Despite torture, their faith remained unshaken. They were drowned at Sirmium around 304 AD, steadfast in their devotion to Christ until their last breath.
