It’s been such a fun year of sharing, learning and connecting with amazing people. Next up is to meet some of you in real life!!
I stopped posting on the typical social media platforms 3 years ago for quite a few different reasons. In the beginning I was hesitant about posting on Nostr as I initially felt I didn’t fit the mould of what typically was shared but I quickly just started sharing little moments from my day as an online diary so to speak. It didn’t matter if it got likes or comments as I was sharing with an anonymous online audience. Seeing the notification alert light up that I had a new follower, comment, like or zap became exciting as there were & are genuine and not because someone feels obligated to acknowledge it.
I love the freedom of sharing what’s on my heart and mind knowing that it’s likely to be received well and if someone doesn’t like it, it also doesn’t matter. 9/10 times this is a space where others celebrate you and enjoy the content. I’ve also come to learn that Nostr is a space where I have finally found like-minded people sharing much of the same views. It’s a place I can openly share, learn and have some fun. 🤩
I’ve grown as a person in the two years and for the 365 days being on Nostr, I find myself only wanting to share these little tidbits of my life with you all and my inner circle in person.
