So the house is sold, work was even done before it was sold and surveys were done. Yet the new people get these managers in and everything needs replacing.... I still work for the people that moved out so I might ask them a few questions as to the survey etc.
The managers wanted to scarify the lawn a few weeks back despite the lack of rain, it was a massive lawn so would have been a huge job and its full of crocus. To be honest I don't see much moss or thatch in it so it didn't make a lot of sense even if it was done at a better time. The people are new and coming from Texas I was told it should be done because they are American but I pointed out they might just be happy to see something green! I am sure they will weed and feed it and slowly kill the whole place.
I am in direct contact with the customer too so she has told me she loves the place as it is. All the work done in the house wasn't even aesthetic it was because it was 'broken' which is weird because the heating they removed was definitely on the new side.
Its a possible scam either if the property manager is organising the work and they are being paid from the client perhaps they skimming something off the top. Either that or the tradespeople are just after work regardless in which case the property manager is doing a poor job choosing people. If the manager is telling trades people to do things you can see how that might also be creating unnecessary work too.
They didn't want to buy a large lawn mover because it was expensive so I went out of my way to allocate time by telling others I can't come to see them. So am a bit pissed off about that but otherwise its not huge issue.
