Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil openly confessed Christ during persecution, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, was tormented by guilt witnessing Ermil's suffering. When Stratonic could no longer bear it, he professed his faith, embracing martyrdom alongside Ermil. They were drowned in the river for refusing to renounce Christ.
