I will probably have another look at FreeCAD again, but I found it super annoying for instance when trying to place joints (i.e. constraints) in an assembly, the parts kept moving around randomly and not just adjusting the specific placement that the joint defines.
Went into Solidworks and had the same blocks and constrains in place within a few minutes without weirdness.
