Analemma of the #Moon
Capturing the Moon's analemma, astronomer Richins photographed it 51 minutes later each day over a lunar month. The resulting figure-8 shows the Moon's varying positions due to its tilted, elliptical orbit. This image, set against New Mexico's Organ Mountains, includes digitally enhanced crescents.
