The Health Ministry in the Red Cross Families' Headquarters warned of the beginning of the ground operation as part of Operation "Gideon's Chariots" and said it may kill live captives. The briefing paper also warns of the "loss of the missing captives": "It will eliminate the possibility of their return". The Israeli military confirmed that the operation started after Israel reported "movements" in the MoD in Baghdad.
